Balloil Scottish Claymore Sword
Balloil Scottish Claymore
A "Balliol Scottish Claymore" refers to a Scottish two-handed claymore sword, which is often associated with the quatrefoil design seen on the seal of King John Balliol. The term doesn't refer to a sword owned by Balliol, but rather the specific ornamental style of the guard, which became famous due to its presence on the seal of the early 14th-century king.
The sword of state of King Kames IV of Scotland.
