Blackfyre is one of two ancestral swords of House Targaryen, alongside its sister blade Dark Sister. Both are Valyrian steel, both pre-date the Conquest by centuries, and both are central to Targaryen rule. Blackfyre was the larger of the two, a bastard sword sized for two-handed use but balanced for one, and it carried significant symbolic weight as well as practical edge.
In House of the Dragon, the show set during the Targaryen civil war (the Dance of the Dragons), Viserys I carries Blackfyre throughout his reign, and the sword passes after his death to his designated heir Rhaenyra. The Blackfyre sword and its companion Dark Sister are the most-referenced Valyrian steel blades in the entire Song of Ice and Fire saga.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, faulty, or you've received the wrong product, contact us immediately at hello@ancientwarrior.co.uk with your order number and photos where possible. We'll resolve the issue as quickly as we can.
