The Cold Steel Norse Hawk is the perfect throwing axe for your range or activity centre. It's the go-to axe for post places and therefore adds a touch of similarity between different centres and groups people may attend and it's gained the status as the most popular throwing axe in the UK for a reason, it's damn good! It's weighted perfectly for throwing, its handle can take quite a bashing from missed shots, and is also replaceable. The head has two sharpened points, increasing its chance of sticking in the target.
The 1055 Carbon steel head can be Re-sharpened easily too.

Top 3 Axe Throwing Tips
Grip and Stance: Ensure a firm and consistent grip on the axe handle, with your dominant hand placed near the bottom (as the Norse Hawk has quite a long handle, it may end up further up than the bottom) and your non-dominant hand higher up. Maintain a balanced stance with feet shoulder-width apart, facing the target.
Focus on Technique: Practice a smooth and controlled throwing motion, aiming to release the axe when your arm is extended and in line with the target. Keep your eye on the bullseye throughout the throw and follow through with your motion, following through may look and feel a bit strange at first, but it's all translating into muscle memory which will pay off in the long run.
Distance and Timing: Experiment with your distance from the target to find what works best for you. Start closer to gain accuracy and gradually increase the distance as you improve. Time your release to coincide with a consistent forward motion, avoiding jerky movements that can affect accuracy - and damange your nice new Norse Hawk!
Please note: Axe shafts are not covered by our manufacturer’s warranty and will not be replaced when they break. Axe shafts can break under a variety of different conditions and will normally be replaced on a fairly regular basis. To prolong the life of your axe head, we recommend never throwing 2 axes into the same target and throwing on a range with a soft surface (such as grass).

We offer a 14-day return policy from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, faulty, or you've received the wrong product, contact us immediately at hello@ancientwarrior.co.uk with your order number and photos where possible. We'll resolve the issue as quickly as we can.
