Dark Sister was the name of the Valyrian Steel sword belonging to Visenya Targaryan, the sister-wife of Aegon the Conqueror.
A great warrior, she used it in battle as well as riding her dragon, Vhagar, during Aegon’s conquest. Dark Sister is a comparatively thin and light blade, because it was the chosen weapon of a female warrior though as it is made of Valyrian Steel, it is still very strong and sharp.
By the reign of Viserys I, some sixty years after Visenya’s death, Dark Sister passed to Daemon Targaryen, younger brother of King Viserys I Targaryen. It later passed tp Aemon the Dragonknight and then to Brynden Rivers.
The sword was ultimately lost during the Blackfyre Rebellion.

Valyrian steel was manufactured in the Valyrian Freehold, spell-forged with the assistance of dragons and dragon flame. The costly material became even more expensive when the method of making new Valyrian steel was lost with the Doom of Valyria, and existing weapons became highly treasured and extremely rare.
The properties of Valyrian steel are the result of both folding iron many times to balance and remove impurities, and the use of unknown spells, giving unnatural strength to the resulting steel. Blood magic and/or fire magic presumably plays a role in spells used to make Valyrian steel, as all Valyrian sorcery came from blood or fire.
Valyrian steel blades are lighter, stronger, harder, and sharper than even the best castle-forged steel. Nothing holds an edge like Valyrian steel, therefore swords hundreds of years old are sharp as the day they were forged.
The blades feature distinctive rippled patterns (similar to real-world Damascus steel), the mark of steel that has been folded back on itself many thousands of times.
Most Valyrian steel is dark grey in colour, almost appearing black. No common fire, not even dragon flame, can damage Valyrian steel.

Returns Policy
RETURNS - All returns for whatever reasons must be authorised. We will require the original invoice/receipt or copy thereof as proof of purchase. Please remember that when you sign for goods to check that the packaging is intact and sealed/unopened. Any goods/delivery query/shortage or fault must be notified.
FAULTY RETURNS - Faulty goods. If there is a fault with any of the goods you purchase please let us know within 14 days of receiving your goods.
NON-FAULTY RETURNS/RIGHT TO CANCEL/COOLING OFF PERIOD There is a cooling off period of 7 days during which you have the right to cancel. You must provide notice of cancellation by contacting us by email or phone. This needs be done within 7 days of receiving the order. Ancient Warrior complies with current legislation with regards to returns, specifically The Customer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000. i.e. you have the right to return the goods for a refund.
OTHER RETURNS - Goods returned without authorisation will be refused.
