Dark Sister House Targaryen Game of Thrones Sword
This is the sheath and plaque version of our Dark Sister replica, the Valyrian steel sword carried by Visenya Targaryen and later passed to Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon. This version comes with both a leather sheath and a wooden display plaque, giving you two ways to display it.
Dark Sister was originally forged in the Valyrian Freehold using techniques that have been lost since the Doom of Valyria. The sword belonged to Visenya Targaryen, the warrior queen and sister-wife of Aegon the Conqueror. Of the two Targaryen queens who rode alongside Aegon during his conquest of Westeros, Visenya was the fighter. She carried Dark Sister into battle while riding her dragon Vhagar, and was known for her skill with the blade long before the conquest began. The sword was forged to suit her, thinner and lighter than most Valyrian steel weapons, built for speed and precision over raw power.
After Visenya's death, Dark Sister stayed within the Targaryen bloodline for generations. By the reign of King Viserys I, the sword had passed to his younger brother Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince. Daemon is the character most viewers of House of the Dragon associate with this weapon. He carried Dark Sister throughout the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war that tore Westeros apart. The sword was central to some of the most memorable scenes in the series, and Daemon's fighting style with it reflected the blade's design: fast, aggressive, and precise.
After Daemon, Dark Sister passed to Aemon the Dragonknight, one of the most celebrated knights in Westerosi history. Aemon was a member of the Kingsguard and widely regarded as one of the greatest swordsmen who ever lived. He carried Dark Sister as his personal weapon until his death. The sword then passed to Brynden Rivers, known as Bloodraven, a bastard of House Targaryen who served as Hand of the King and later as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Dark Sister disappeared when Bloodraven went beyond the Wall, and its current whereabouts in the story remain unknown.
What makes this replica different from our other Dark Sister version is the inclusion of the sheath. The plaque-only version is a wall display piece. This version gives you the option to display it on the plaque or keep it sheathed on a shelf, table, or in a cabinet. If you are building a House of the Dragon or Targaryen sword collection, both versions work, but this one is more versatile for display.
This replica is made from stainless steel with detailed fittings on the guard and pommel that reflect the Targaryen aesthetic. The blade has a slight taper and the proportions are accurate to the weapon as depicted on screen.

Returns Policy
RETURNS - All returns for whatever reasons must be authorised. We will require the original invoice/receipt or copy thereof as proof of purchase. Please remember that when you sign for goods to check that the packaging is intact and sealed/unopened. Any goods/delivery query/shortage or fault must be notified.
FAULTY RETURNS - Faulty goods. If there is a fault with any of the goods you purchase please let us know within 14 days of receiving your goods.
NON-FAULTY RETURNS/RIGHT TO CANCEL/COOLING OFF PERIOD There is a cooling off period of 7 days during which you have the right to cancel. You must provide notice of cancellation by contacting us by email or phone. This needs be done within 7 days of receiving the order. Ancient Warrior complies with current legislation with regards to returns, specifically The Customer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000. i.e. you have the right to return the goods for a refund.
OTHER RETURNS - Goods returned without authorisation will be refused.
