Gandalf's Glamdring Sword | The Hobbit | Official License
In the Third Age of Middle-earth, the old and powerful Wizard Gandalf and his Company of Dwarves came upon a troll lair in Rhûdaur.
The sword named Glamdring was forged by the high Elves of the West, in the hidden city of Gondolin. Glamdring survived, only to be found thousands of years later by Gandalf and his companions.
The Glamdring sword is 119cm overall, featuring a 89cm stainless steel blade, solid metal hilt parts, faux blue jewel inlays, and a genuine leather-wrapped grip. Comes complete with diecast metal wall display.

Glamdring in Tolkien's Wider Legendarium
The name Glamdring means "Foe-hammer" in Sindarin Elvish. It was the personal sword of King Turgon of Gondolin, forged in the First Age by High Elven smiths in the hidden city of Gondolin before its fall to Morgoth. Turgon was Tolkien's archetypal noble Elven king, the great-grandson of Finwe and Thingol's nephew, and Glamdring was the blade that fell at his side when Gondolin was sacked.
After the fall of Gondolin, the sword was lost for thousands of years. It was found again in the Third Age, buried in a troll-hoard in the Trollshaws, the high country east of Rivendell where Gandalf, Thorin and Bilbo took shelter on their journey east in The Hobbit. Gandalf has carried Glamdring ever since, including through the events of The Lord of the Rings, where it cut down a Cave Troll in Moria and was carried into the Battle of the Hornburg.
Like its sister-blade Orcrist (carried by Thorin Oakenshield) and Sting (Bilbo's small sword, gifted later to Frodo), Glamdring glows blue when orcs are near, a property of Gondolin-forged Elven blades.
Display Notes
The Glamdring sword pairs naturally with Sting and Orcrist on a three-piece Hobbit-era wall display, and with Anduril on a wider Lord of the Rings collection. The wooden display plaque included with this listing is the standard wall-mount design used across our LOTR officially licensed range, so all four swords can be mounted in matching frames.
