First appearing in 1930, she became a symbol of the Jazz Age, famous for her signature catchphrase, "Boop-Oop-a-Doop". Combining playful innocence with classic flapper glamour, Betty was the first animated female character to openly celebrate a confident, stylish, and independent personality on screen.
